Mercan Dede in Concert

Mercan Dede, an accomplished musician/producer/DJ, wanted to bring his unique fusion of traditional Sufi spiritual music and electronic sounds to Seattle. Staged at the charismatic Century Ballroom venue in Seattle on July 28th, Mercan Dede gave an amazing performance with the ney (reed flute) and bendir with accompanying dancers, exhilarating the crowd. Then he seized the turntables and jammed the dance floor with his unique blend of ancient sounds and new rhythmic beats. Culture Theory created the perfect setting for the eclectic performer to showcase all of his talents and inspire the full-capacity audience to join in the experience.
